Porsche Driving Experience Days.

Porsche was founded in Stuttgart in 1931 by Austrian, Ferdinand Porsche. One of the first models produced By Ferdinand Porsche was the legendary Volkswagen Beetle (German for The People's Car), this car was so good it was in manufacture for 70 years and produced more than 20 million vehicles. Regarded as the first Porsche was the revolutionary aluminium bodied racer, the Porsche 64. When Ferdinand was accused of war crimes and detained in jail for two years after the war, his son Ferry Porsche took on the reins and developed the first Porsche production road car called the 356. The 356 was the first Porsche Driving Experience for the public, being a two seater, rear-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car.  Ferdinand Porsche was released from prison in 1947 and died in 1951. In 1963 the incredible Porsche 911 two-door sports coupe was launched and it was a fantastic success. The car was produced and developed for three decades with major changes in 1989 and the Porsche 964 series with tiptronic automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive among the changes. Next were the 993, 996 and latest model is the 997 Series.
